As reported this past week and weekend, the number of confirmed cases of COVID in our community and province remains very concerning. We continue to hope and pray that the provincial lockdown, which includes all students in the province engaged in teacher-led remote learning this week, will be successful in slowing the rate of COVID transmission. We continue to do all we can and adhere to the advice of our Health Units, in particular refraining from any type of social gathering except with those in our immediate household.
While the coming days, weeks and months will remain difficult, the distribution of vaccines currently underway offers HOPE that 2021 will see a gradual return of those everyday things we took for granted.
Yesterday closed out the Christmas season with the Feast of the Epiphany. St. Peter Chrysologus offers a beautiful reflection of the Wise Men and where their journey of faith lead them.
Today the Magi gaze in deep wonder at what they see:
